Regency Lodge

This grand 1930s apartment building, located in London's Swiss Cottage, is a significant example of the era's architectural style, standing in close proximity to other important Streamline Moderne buildings. Recognising the building's historical and architectural value, Studio DJL was appointed to secure listed building consent for the sensitive replacement of windows on the building's exterior. This task required a meticulous approach to ensure that the new windows would not only meet modern performance standards but also faithfully replicate the original design, thereby preserving the building's character.

Studio DJL worked closely with Camden Council, preparing detailed proposals that demonstrated a deep respect for the building's heritage while addressing the practical needs of its residents. The successful granting of consent by the council ensured that the building's architectural integrity was maintained, allowing it to continue serving as a proud example of 1930s Streamline Moderne architecture within this historic London neighborhood.
